Vendor View Expands Across Michigan
June 25, 2009
Vendor View, CIM's innovative web portal that
automates and assures delivery of critical
participant and services information to in-home
service providers supporting frail elderly and
persons with disabilities living in their homes,
has been deployed by half of the HCBS/ED Waiver
agencies across Michigan. Paperless processes
reduce the administrative burden (and related
costs) for waiver program staff; while service
providers (“vendors”) appreciate web access
to automated service order processing and the
ability to easily communicate using an
encrypted, HIPAA-compliant message
system. Agencies using Vendor View report saving
both time and money.
Arkansas hires CIM to automate interRAI HC (Home
Care) Assessment
May 2009
The State of Arkansas has contracted with CIM to
update their current portable assessment software to
include the latest Home Care (HC) instrument from
interRAI. Results from iHC assessments in the
upgraded system will be used to determine initial
eligibility and to re-certify ongoing eligibility
for participants in several waiver programs,
including Independent Choices,
ElderChoices, and Alternatives for Physical
Disabilities, as well as the Community Living
Project (Nursing Home Diversion). The affected
programs are managed by the Department of Human
Services, Division of Adult and Aging Services.
ANN ARBOR, MI – The
Center for Information Management, Inc. (CIM;
www.ciminc.com), an Ann Arbor, MI-based provider of
information systems and services tailored to home
care programs, has announced deployment of the
latest version of the interRAI HC (Home Care)
assessment from interRAI Corporation (www.interrai.org).
The entire assessment system – including clinical
scales, clinical assessment protocols with care
planning triggers, case mix system, and quality
monitoring system – has been fully integrated into
CIM’s Internet-based COMPASS software suite.
Customized software, data hosting, and support
services from CIM are used to manage the MI-Choice
Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver
program, managed through 21 regional administrative
agencies throughout Michigan under contract with the
Medical Services Administration of the Michigan
Department of Community Health (MDCH).
“This is a critical step forward for our MI-Choice
waiver program” says Michael Daeschlein, MI-Choice
contract manager for MDCH, “and we could not have
done it without the expertise and total dedication
of the CIM staff. I am amazed by how smoothly and
professionally they handled this important
transition for everyone involved.”
