What must I do so that PICK collects data exactly how we need it?

The data collected by the PICK software is unique for every customer. CIM works with customers to identify what mobile workers need to collect: both the types of information (e.g., intake forms, assessments, and progress notes) as well as the exact data fields for each component. CIM then builds these data definitions into a customized version of PICK, including the customer's business rules, so it fully meets the needs of each customer.

What does it means that PICK can include our "business rules"?

CIM can incorporate data checks right into the software which prevent users from making common mistakes that compromise data quality. Sometimes this relates to logical conditions, such as when event dates cannot be before/after other events, so dates are compared to ensure proper sequencing. Other times, the response to one data item implies a limitation or requirement for another data item, such as checking "Other" means user should enter a short description.

How much training do users typically need to learn how to work with PICK?

Although every person is unique, we find that most people understand the basics functions of PICK in about 2 hours and become relatively proficient in about a week with routine use.

Is PICK compliant with the new HIPAA security standards?

Implementation of PICK on properly secured portable computers with CIM hosted database operations is compliant with HIPAA security rule, as CIM has built in the necessary safeguards to protect any electronic protected health information.

How does using PICK save time for mobile workers?

Workers using PICK do not waste time in under-productive ways: such as looking through paper files for past notes, completing forms only to have to enter the data themselves later, and searching for phone numbers.
